Abstraction III came down yesterday...

...and we hung In the Mood. I'm enjoying the High Risk Gallery, Rick and Chad who run the space, seem to enjoy pulling the artists together, so that as we hang the pieces we get to know each other, and then have a dinner afterwards. It's a good experience, and I find myself feeling relatively comfortable with the other artists. Not so difficult for me as in most social settings. I enjoy learning how they make their pieces or what the piece is about. And the icing on the cake, besides the carrot cake, they sold another piece, La Conchita III. It was my favorite of the collages I did on the disaster, so I'm pleased someone else liked it.

Anyway, I'm just waiting for some gesso to dry, it's a good time to do art, so early in the morning, listening to some down and dirty, bump and grind jazz sax, with a scented candle and nice cup of keemun tea.
